All optional. Nothing here is filled in until you choose it, and you can change any of it per entry.
Used to estimate your age and weight divisions.
Prefilled when you log a new session.
Your account, your lists, and how the app behaves. Everything is optional.
If you started logging mid-journey, enter roughly how many classes you'd already done before that — this keeps your All Time totals honest. It gets added on top of your earliest logged session, so there's no date to keep in sync. Leave blank if you've logged everything from day one.
No problem — your journal is yours, and that includes leaving with it. Before you go, download a copy. Deleting your account is immediate and can’t be undone, so we recommend it.
Deleting removes your entire journal — sessions, photos, competitions, promotions, all of it.
One thing to know: if training partners logged sessions with you, those entries are their records of their own training — they stay theirs.
Send an invite email so someone can set up their BJJ Journal account.
Found a bug or have an idea? Send it straight to the team — your account email is included so they can reply.
Everything in your journal, as plain CSV.
Eight files in one ZIP: sessions, competitions & matches, promotions, schools, instructors, training partners, locations and your profile — including anything in Recently Deleted.
CSV opens in any spreadsheet app, so this copy is yours to keep or take elsewhere. Only sessions can be imported back into BJJ Journal.
Photos: captions and figure numbers are included, but the image files themselves are not — you already have the originals in your phone’s photo library.
Bulk-import training sessions from a CSV. You'll see a preview of exactly what will happen — nothing is saved until you confirm.
You used Hide My Email, so Apple gave us a private relay address instead of your own. That makes this a separate account.
First time here? You’re all set.
Logged sessions before with Google or an email address? They’re still there, in that account. Sign out and sign in the way you did before to reach them.
Optional — set your current rank so it shows on Home. You can skip this and add a promotion any time.
